Dryer Vent Cleaning

There are over 15,000 dryer fires reported each year. Most cases of dryer fires are the result of neglected maintenance, however, that's not always the case. If the dryer duct is too long, then the clothes dryer will labor extra hard to push the hot air outside through the dryer vent. When the air flow is slowed down or restricted, the system becomes overheated and becomes a fire hazard.

Be careful what you put around the dryer too. Boxes, cleaning supplies, and flammable substances will provide fuel for a fire. Rags soaked in gas, paint thinner, oil, and other flammable substances can ignite from the heat in the dryer. They should be line dried even if they have been washed first.

By cleaning your dryer vents you can save on energy costs. Plugged vents cause the dryer to run longer, thereby costing more.

Keep your family safe by staying on top of regular cleaning.

Improving your indoor air.

Why clean your air ducts? That's like asking: Why clean your house?

The air inside our homes is re-circulated over and over and over again. Most ducts are coated with dust that contains allergens like: mold, dust mites, pet dander, pollen. It also contains: dead insects, spider webs and other impurities. Having your duct system cleaned properly will remove these things from your system.

We clean the entire system. The only guaranteed cleaning method is to have every inch of your duct system cleaned, including: all main lines, all return lines, heating and cooling coils, furnace compartment, and blower motor and assembly. We remove and clean all registers. By not cleaning the entire system, these allergens and impurities remain in the lines and continue to re-circulated throughout your system.

The 3 methods of cleaning your system are:

1. Negative air creating a suction on the entire system.

2. Agitation in the duct lines with a brush to loosen all stuck-on debris.

3. Forced air to push debris toward the vacuum and out of the system.

If the cleaning method does not include all three, you are NOT getting your ducts completely clean.
